On 17 to 19 of August,  Dr. Daniel Mosquera was attenting the  VIII International Colorectal congress and S-ECCO International IBD workshop in Barranquilla. 

The ECCO/IBD workshop corresponds to the third congress of this type that takes place in
Latin America. It is a great opportunity both for the country and for the Colombian Colorectal Association to show the level academic that it have reached with this type of pathology.

Bio international convention in boston

Farmacon will be at the BIO International Convention held in Boston, MA from June 4 to 7. The conference is organized by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), epresenting 1,100 biotech companies academic institutions and other organizations. Sara Tylosky, president of Farmacon, will be there June 5 & 6 to share information about how Farmacon's network of doctor consultants provide solutions for biotech companies that need CRO management, face start-up or enrollment challenges in Phase 2ab or Phase 3 clinical trials and to attend educational seminars to keep up-to-date on the biotech's industry's relevant topics.

WORLD ORPHAN DRUG CONGRESS USA 2018

The 8th Global Orphan Drug Conference and Expo will take place on April 25 - 27, 2018 at Gaylord National Harbor Hotel, Oxon Hill, MD. 

Sara Tylosky, CEO of Farmacon will be attending the Global Orphan Drug Conference, a global gathering of 1,000 leaders in orphan drugs from 38 countries, covering all aspects of orphan drug development and rare disease research.

There will be discussions on orphan drugs policy, gene therapy development, global patient advocacy, global market acces, cell and gene therapies, among others.

Rare Disease Event in Sao Paulo

Rare Disease Event in Sao Paulo

Dr. Charles Schmidt, medical research consultant of Farmacon- Brazil, pariticipated in the event in São Paulo City.


The event hosted by the chamber of major from Sao Paulo and organized by the NGO Instituto Vidas Raras,  brought together doctors, scientists, researchers and experts from all over Brazil to discuss the current outlook, technological advances and, above all, public policies aimed at the diagnosis and treatment of so-called rare diseases.

 The vice president of the NGO Vidas Raras Institute, Regina Próspero, also highlights the importance of information as a way to minimize the suffering of patients and their families.

"Because if you make people aware of that evil, you can fight. All the evil that is known can be fought, or can be avoided. "

On the other hand, Charles Smith, Medical Reasearch Consultant of Farmacon in Brazil, was one of the speakers at the event talking about clinical trials in rare diseases.
